Depauwler Posted August 7, 2013 at 10:34 PM Report Share Posted August 7, 2013 at 10:34 PM If you turn the wheel 90 degrees to the side, you can see a line where the upper and lower plastic covering of the steering column meets. It seems that the top piece is warping, sticking out further such that the wheel scrapes over it occasionally. Not a big problem, but sometimes I forget about it and think I'm dragging something under the car. Anyone else?

Depauwler Posted August 8, 2013 at 10:24 PM Author Report Share Posted August 8, 2013 at 10:24 PM Apparently it's the heat. It was cooler/overcast today and I didn't hear any scraping. Yesterday I hadn't parked in the shade and didn't put up my sunshade.
Andre07 Posted August 9, 2013 at 02:53 AM Report Share Posted August 9, 2013 at 02:53 AM (edited) Wonder if the Tinting on the Energi Windshield is Tinted enough to reduce the Radiant Heat on a sunny day. I had a ride in my Brother-in-Laws 2013 Fusion 1.6 Liter S and I found that sitting in the Passanger's front seat with a T-shirt, I found it extremely warm to hot if the AC was not on yet it was only 20'C or 68'F outside at the time. Yet I did not find it warm sitting in my 96 Bonneville SSEi. Now I am wondering if the Warping Plastic you are noticing on the Steering Column may not be caused due to the Windshield not being Tinted as well as other Ford Models or other Vehicles.
