MISSING On 2013 A4 NAV BUTTERFIELD BLVD MORGAN HILL CA

Is there a newer version of this card? An A5?

How do we get the latest SD Card?

My Navigation didn't show a new road that was there for probably at least a year.

The road it didn't show is the section of Butterfield Blvd between Tennant and Monterey Rd in Morgan Hill CA.

Google Butterfield Blvd Morgan Hill CA to see the section I am talking about OR look at new images at top of this website.

I am wondering if others have this version and if theirs is out of date?

I purchased my Energi 10-28-13.

My A4 card number is DM5T-19H449-AA USA/CAN

The A5 card is available.  I didn't see anything different.  The main highway near my house still has the speed limit wrong.  It still gets the number for my house wrong by over 50 house numbers.  The house was built in 1957, there is no excuse for it being wrong.

I got it off of eBay for around $50.

Same here, I got an A5 card a couple month ago and there is a road in northern VA that was renumbered in mid 2012 and the A5 card still shows the old route number... that seemed like a basic update to catch and it was not, so I just bought the one card and will stick with the A4 on the other car and I guess wait for the next update.

Funny that navigation.com still says my car is up to date.  How long has the A5 card been available?

I got it on May 7.

Here is the contents of the version.txt files from both cards.

Region=NA

SubRegion=NA_UC

Version=A4

Map=20120813

Region=NA

SubRegion=NA_UC

Version=A5

Map=20120822

The map is 9 days newer.  In other words it didn't change.

I bought mine on May 8th... dang wish I had the details of the map data only being 9 days newer, definitely would have skipped that purchased and waited for the next update.

I'm truly glad that I didn't order navigation as an option for reasons such as this. I will continue using Waze as my primary solution for free. It includes live traffic and road reports, as well as the latest maps provided by the community, including myself.  :)

Waze is great, but I don't  like having to use my data (i can hit 5gig per month)/ having my phone set on dash in an after-market holder, having an aftermarket holder mounted all the time, having to pull my  phone out all the time, draining the battery, having to hook up the phone to be charging while running the map app, etc etc etc, just to have maps. I use the in car nav for long trips and as a reference (time/distance to destination mostly), but when I hit a traffic jam, or think there is going to be traffic, I check Waze/Google maps to figure out where the worst spots are and then avoid them. Google maps has started doing real time incident reporting "as reported by Waze".

I like the navigation built into the car so I don't have to set up and remove a portable device, but I find it so annoying (and this is for all brands of cars with navigation) on how pricey the updates are and how far they are out of date even when you get the update.

Will be nice when we can get an Apple Play or similar type solution in the car so that we can just use google maps.  Or at least let me add a road into the current system.

I have bought the upgrade navigation cards from eBay, every other year since 2013. The latest is A14, works just fine, I have not had any problems with these eBay cards. Every year I get a card in the mail from Ford offering the latest Nav card, very expensive this way. eBay is the way to go.

Android Auto and Google Maps is the better way to go.  MUCH cheaper.

If they're asking about the nav SD cards, they're on the old Sync 2/MyFord Touch system which doesn't do AA/CarPlay. And upgrading to Sync 3 to gain that isn't super cheap compared to paying like $25 or so for the SD cards on eBay. That said, I will say the Sync 3 upgrade, IMHO, is one of the best upgrades you can do with these vehicles. It's such an improvement over the old system by far.
