Vehicle Description on SyncMyRide versus MyFord Mobile Access

  1. 1. How does your car description appear on the connect.ford.com SyncMyRide website?

    • Fusion Energi PHEV
    • Fusion Energi Titanium PHEV
    • Fusion
    • Fusion Titanium
  2. 2. Is your car currently registered with MyFordMobile?

  3. 3. If your car is currently registered with MyFord Mobile, were you able to immediately register your vehicle without help from the MyFord Mobile Technology Team?

Several of us are having issues with registering our Fusion Energi vehicles with MyFord Mobile.  This seems to be independent of model year.  I am wondering if it has something to do with how our vehicle descriptions appear on the connect.ford.com (SyncMyRide) website.  For my vehicle, the description on the connect.ford.com website appears as Fusion Titanium (and not Fusion Energi Titanium PHEV) and I am wondering if this could be a contributing factor in my connectivity issues (possibly the car not being recognized as an Energi, therefore not eligible for myford mobile services).

I am curious if others experiencing this problem also have the same description anomaly.

If you are a Ford Fusion Energi owner, I would appreciate you fill out this poll with the description of your vehicle on the connect.ford.com website and whether you were immediately able to register your vehicle with the myford mobile application/website, were able to register with assistance from the Ford Technology Team, or can still not connect.

Thanks for your time.

Suckers. I knew mine's delivery date and VIN, so I 'pre-registered' her while she was still on the train. When I showed up at the dealer it was waiting for me to accept the first screen. The MFT guy was taken aback by the fact my car already had an email for it and everything. He has to mark it out on the started form he gave me. I asked HIM if he had any questions about using it. hehe

I have now been able to obtain access to my myfordmobile account.  It took a lot of work and support and de-activating my account twice, but it now appears to be fixed.  Here is my recent post in the Connecting Fusion to My Ford Mobile thread:

For others that may have thought the issue was fixed and then it re-occurred, my car was recently removed from my myfordbobile account due to a master data reset.  I tried re-registering it twice. Both times I said yes to restoring my original data, when prompted to do so.  Both times I received the first message to confirm registration, and both times, my vehicle was again removed due to a master data reset.  At that point, I deactivated my account and started over again.  I received the first message, acknowleded it and then received the second message this morning after 24 hours and again acknowleded that one.  I now have access, at least for the time being.  Kim mentioned (too late, unfortunately) that when you re-register your vehicle, to just say "no" when prompted to restore your data.  That may also work, which would mean you would not need to deactivate your account.  There is light at the end of the tunnel, if people are still having issues.

Blars, I do not know if yours is the same situation, but if you haven't already, you can try one of two things.  If you can see your vehicle, you may try removing it and then re-registering it, making sure that you are not restoring any previous data.  If this does not work, or your car is not currently registered, you can try deactivating your account and then re-registering and registering your vehicle again.

Mine is listed as simply "2014 Fusion Titanium" and I have tried every which way to sync with MyFordMobile.  I originally had issues with my cell phone syncing all the way (wouldn't access texting).  They had me do the TCU Fuse pull (#10) and that fixed the texting issue.  I have sent 3 emails, spoken with 3 Ford Reps on the phone and have taken it to the dealer once.  No resolution.  I threatened them last week with legal action if they could not fix all of these systems that they "sold" to me on their website and by their dealer sales people.  They opened a case to speak with the Customer Satisfaction team, which apparently is going to call me to discuss things like compensation and their "buy back" program??   Over all I really like the car, but I want to feel safe in the car and I don't know if any of the really important systems are controlled by the same computer/software that is screwing up.   I have been fighting this problem for 8 weeks now.  My car only has 1400 miles on it and I have been keeping a log of every problem, the date it happens and every contact with Ford, who I spoke with and what the resolution was.

I have all kinds of other issues with systems which just don't work sometimes.

Steering wheel heater comes on by itself in the upper left quadrant

Automatic Door locks don't open without the keyfab or keypad entry or won't lock without using the same (of course, they fail when I my arms are loaded or when I'm standing in the rain)

Collision Avoidance System  (Car pulled right out in front of me and no warning, but yet when I am taking the off ramp on the freeway, it warns me of the stationary bush that is in front of me!)

Backup sensors (a car 4 feet behind that was sitting transverse to my vehicle)

Side backup sensors  (Pulling out of my driveway and the neighbor driving by behind me)
