I've always gone with gap through my insurance provider, because in my case, at the 3rd or 4th year, my remaining loan payment is less than the value of the car. If I was in an accident and totaled the vehicle at that point, I'm getting a check from the insurance company. So once the KBB value of my car is greater than my loan, I drop gap insurance.
