howardbc Posted March 21, 2014 at 04:58 PM Report Share Posted March 21, 2014 at 04:58 PM Has anyone reset their Lifetime Summary? I haven't since I got my FFE a year ago. It has 6000+ miles on the odometer now and a Lifetime Summary of 81+mpg. 90% of my trips are short and local - within 30-50 miles (round-trip) of my home. Last year I took a 500+ mile road trip which really skewed the Summary, and I will be taking another long road trip sometime. So I was thinking about resetting the Lifetime Summary before and after a long road trip. I looked in my owner's manual and it mentions being able to reset the Lifetime Summary by going into something called Driver's Assist and Settings. The manual doesn't give step-by-step instructions (that I could find), but I'm assuming this involves pressing the button on the left side of the steering wheel. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks. SteveEnergi Posted March 21, 2014 at 06:10 PM Report Share Posted March 21, 2014 at 06:10 PM I reset my lifetime summary after I picked up the car from the dealer. I wanted the lifetime summary to be strictly my lifetime summary, not the test drives that preceded me. I don't think I'll ever reset mine again because I'm tracking my "lifetime" real use even with long trips. The trips bring my "lifetime" down a number of mpg's but it was real driving, so in my opinion, should be included in the "lifetime". You want to always see big #'s on your screen, don't you. :) You do this like the manual said, the "driver's assist" is on the left menu screen. Scroll up and/or down and you'll see it. howardbc Posted April 12, 2014 at 12:23 AM Author Report Share Posted April 12, 2014 at 12:23 AM Thanks, Steve. I reset my Lifetime Summary a couple days ago, and WOW!!! It immediately jumped up to over 100MPG! I expect it to settle back down after a month or so of my normal driving. I was thrilled with the 80+MPG I had been getting, but was tired of explaining that the figure was skewed by the 550-mile road trip I took last Summer with no charging. My usual commute is maybe 30 miles or so of speed-limit street driving. I thought I should see what my accurate Lifetime Summary really is for me most of the time. I will take another road trip again some time, but I will definitely reset the Lifetime Summary after I get home, because I rarely take road trips or even local trips of more than 50 miles. So, fellow forum members, reset that Lifetime Summary if you go on a long trip, especially if you can't charge up.
