An EV newbie!

Hello folks!  I just leased a 2014 Fusion Energi Titanium this past weekend and think I have become obsessed with the vehicle!  It's truly an amazing piece of technology...Ford is nailing it.  We were first looking at the straight Fusion Hybrid, but, as I started to look at the Energi, I realized that it might be both economically and ecologically profitable to step it up.  I have a 15 mile one-way freeway commute in the Seattle area so hoping to use 90% electric.  Today is day 2 so we'll see!  I was also convinced to look at the Energi because of some pretty attractive leasing incentives and the tax credit for EV.  And the Dark Side color wasn't so bad either!

Looking forward to learning from the very enthusiastic group on this forum!

Welcome!  You noted a 15-mile commute, do you have the capability to charge at work?  if so that would be great...

It's pretty obvious when the dealer passes the tax credit on to you.  I leased mine, and among other incentives there was a $4007 "dealer incentive" that reduced the capitalized cost of my car.  For those considering leasing this car, I don't know if this is a state-by-state or dealer-by-dealer practice, but if you don't see it on there, I'd definitely shop around.
