Rhynri Posted November 18, 2014 at 09:25 PM Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 at 09:25 PM (edited) Don't use both the charger and the EBH on the same circuit unless you know the circuit can handle it. I have the EBH on a zWave switch so I can selectively shut it off and turn it on remotely. The switch used to control lights, so it was turning on by itself until I fixed the programming. Luckily I have a whole-house energy monitor that alerted me the circuit was being over-loaded. Breaker did not pop. larryh Posted November 18, 2014 at 09:30 PM Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 at 09:30 PM (edited) The EBH uses 440 watts. The 120 V charger uses about 1400 watts. A 15 amp circuit can only supply 1800 watts. A 20 amp circuit is required for both.
