My car charges just fine , but the blue indicator light shows a full charge but 0 miles so I can't access full EV mode. What am I doing wrong? Can any one help? murphy Posted November 23, 2014 at 03:28 PM Report Share Posted November 23, 2014 at 03:28 PM I'm not sure what you mean by the "blue indicator light". Are you talking about the charge ring around the charging socket or the little battery in the left dash panel? It sounds like your battery is empty. How long have you charged it? With the supplied charger it takes between 5 and 7 hours to charge the battery.
Russael Posted November 23, 2014 at 04:00 PM Report Share Posted November 23, 2014 at 04:00 PM About the simplest thing you can try is resetting the car. Remove the negative battery cable from your 12V and leave it sit for a few minutes. Connect it back up and see if the car realizes your big battery is fully charged. Your 12v is located in the trunk on the left side. If your charge ring is indicating a full charge (all quadrants lit solid) and the battery on the instrument cluster is not blue at all, it sounds like the charge port ring has an issue and giving a false reading. Dealership trip.
