I agree with Doug.  We just bought our Energi a week ago, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and just started plugging it up Monday night and I am obsessed with keeping it in EV mode.  I love watching the mpg's climb with each trip and get excited when I get the trip summary after my drive to work every morning. . . this morning the Energi Use was 89.8 mpg.  We filled up Monday evening and as of this evening have barely moved the gas gage.

Hi scjabaldi,

My suggestion is to track MGPe. I think it makes a lot more sense to track MPGe rather than MPG because if you do track MPG is almost like saying that charging the battery is free. Granted, it is a lot cheaper than gas, at least in my area, but definetely not free. To me what is most important is the cost per mile to drive the car. With my not so exact numbers (electricity cost and gas cost) I determined that my cost per mile is around 4 cents. I think it is at least double if not more to drive purely on gas.

Regards,

APM
