flyingcheesehead Posted January 15, 2015 at 08:23 PM Report Share Posted January 15, 2015 at 08:23 PM Hi folks, Looking for an iOS app to keep track of fuel mileage and such - I see a lot of you use Fuelly, but it has ZERO features for electric vehicles! Does anyone have a favorite iOS app for keeping track of your mileage that's PHEV-aware?
meyersnole Posted January 16, 2015 at 02:41 AM Report Share Posted January 16, 2015 at 02:41 AM Not aware of any, I know that the Chevy Volt app tracks what you are looking for, not sure why the Ford app never made this data available. The market for PHV & BEV is still quite small relative to the rest of the market. Would not really expect too many 3rd party apps yet. Does anyone have a favorite iOS app for keeping track of your mileage that's PHEV-aware? I think you would be surprised by the accuracy of Fuelly. They have a great iOS app called GasTracker+ that keeps track of all the pertinent data (minus the electric part). I have looked at the Fuelly links of the other members and its very interesting to see how little fuel is actually used overall. I have not had a chance to update the fuel since I have been in EV only.
murphy Posted October 8, 2015 at 05:38 PM Report Share Posted October 8, 2015 at 05:38 PM I measure the wall electric power used to charge the car, convert it to egallons and add it to the real gallons. Divide the kWh used to charge the car by 33.7 to get egallons. In other words there are 33.7 kWh in a gallon of gasoline. There is some controversy about what this number should be. The window sticker for my 2013 Energi rounds it to 34.

Might have to write it myself tho!

I reset Trip Meter 2 at each fill up after recording numbers in my spreadsheet. Measuring the actualy electric is more precise, but I don't want to hook up a kill-a-watt (or whatever meter) to my L1. Fat Fusion Posted October 9, 2015 at 02:45 AM Report Share Posted October 9, 2015 at 02:45 AM I like Fuelly, but by all means please program a better app! My mileage is all over the map since I almost always run on electric, then do trips to screw it up. See below.

I can fill it in at the station using MS Mobile / Android Excel, and then use it on the computer later. I save to my MS OneDrive for common access. It lets me analyze data to my hearts content...
