Platinum15Ti Posted March 21, 2015 at 05:17 AM Report Share Posted March 21, 2015 at 05:17 AM My mom stopped by today with my "old" 2014 Fusion, so I snapped a few pics of them together. Hers has Eibach Springs, Livernois Motorsports Dyno Tune, plastidpped grille, and 5% tint on all windows but the windshield (I had the windshield stripped before she bought it). Mine has H&R Springs and 5% tint on all windows but the windshield and 35% on the entire windshield. Seeing both together makes me wants larger wheels.... However the 17's on the Energi look better now that it's lowered. Hybridbear
Neil Posted March 24, 2015 at 06:41 PM Report Share Posted March 24, 2015 at 06:41 PM Interesting! Eibach Springs on a Fusion. Was it worth the investment - does it handle significantly better? What about ride height? It looks like the '14 is sitting a little lower. I'm also interested in how your Dyno Tune worked out - what did you tune? Any significant power increases? Are those the only mods you did? I used to drive a Camaro Z28 and the online forums were loaded in performance mods (good and bad). I installed Eibach springs, Bilstein shocks, beefier sway bars, welded on sub frame connectors, upgraded to sticky 'summer only' 275 tires and the handling was exponentially better. The ride was a litter rough, but well worth it if you are interested in 'spirited' driving. The engine (LS1, 350) was already fairly well done, so all I did was increase the volume of the air intake (performance MAF). The Fusion Energi forum is a little different - not so much on the modifications, but more on tips and tricks to get the most for the stock vehicle. Platinum15Ti Posted March 24, 2015 at 08:05 PM Author Report Share Posted March 24, 2015 at 08:05 PM I can't leave any car alone. I'm done with the Energi since its a lease. They handle slightly better with springs, but I just like less wheel well gap. The 2014 has 19" wheels and they are more flush to the bumper/fenders. With 17's the Energi is lower from the ground to the bottom of the side skirt. The Eibachs are rougher than the H&Rs I have on the Energi. The tune in the EB fusion picked up about 35 WHP / 70 WTQ with minimal increase in boost. The trans cal was much better and fuel economy was a ton better with the tune.
