I charge it up at home using a 110/120v wall outlet and in the morning it usually shows 24-29 miles on the battery. (I know this figure is very hypothetical.) It has done great for over 2 years and 12k miles. But yesterday it stayed in Hybrid mode at least 90% of the time after I re-charged it at a Volta fast charger that I've used many times before. Yes, it was hot (102), but it has survived much hotter temps. When it gets hot, the display shows that the engine is on due to the battery temp and acceleration, but it has always used the battery at least initially. When I got home last night I plugged it in before I went to bed as usual. This morning, MFM only shows 19 miles on the battery which is a huge step-down compared to my usual 24-29 miles showing. I know I didn't hit the "EV" button to change it from "EV Auto." Besides, why would all the battery resources be used up after driving only maybe 10-15 miles? I usually get low-high 20's in initial EV miles. I hope this doesn't mean that my HV Battery is starting to degrade. Any thoughts? Thanks. Thanks.The battery probably got too hot. 102 outside temp is a lot hotter in the car. I believe the battery stops being used at either 109 or 113, I've seen both temperatures reported on these forums.
