martinwilliamh Posted June 25, 2015 at 04:05 PM Report Share Posted June 25, 2015 at 04:05 PM I have a 2014 Fusion Energi and all of a sudden the navigation voice prompts stopped working. The navigation still provides direction and I can still hear the radio. Any ideas on how to fix this 1. without having to do the a dealer and 2. without having to do a Master Reset that erases everything. Thanks! jeff_h Posted June 25, 2015 at 04:51 PM Report Share Posted June 25, 2015 at 04:51 PM Here's an old thread on that on the hybrid forum... I had to do that 3x on my hybrid when it was on Sync 3.5.1, but then when I upgraded to v3.6.2 later in 2013 I didn't experience the issue anymore, so I don't know if this is the same issue as you are experiencing, but you can give it a try if you want to avoid a master reset. http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/6474-how-to-reset-myford-touch-wout-losing-your-presets/ Hybridbear
FordIVTteam Posted June 26, 2015 at 12:01 PM Report Share Posted June 26, 2015 at 12:01 PM Hi martinwiliiamh, Try turning the volume knob while SYNC is giving you a navigation prompt; that should turn her voice back on. It's very easy to accidentally turn the volume down without realizing it, and it's the most common cause for SYNC to stop talking. I don't know about you, but I'm only of those people that turns the volume down on the radio when I'm looking for me destination. LOL Give that a shot and let me know how it goes! martinwilliamh Posted June 29, 2015 at 05:40 PM Author Report Share Posted June 29, 2015 at 05:40 PM I did that to no avail. I also tried the reboot app. What worked was doing the latest update to Sync. But now every time I start my car it always says my phone is paired and 911 assist is off. Any way to turn that announcement off?
FordIVTteam Posted June 30, 2015 at 03:17 PM Report Share Posted June 30, 2015 at 03:17 PM I'm glad you were able to get it working! Try this to tune the 911 Assist notification off: Gears > 911 ASSIST > OFF next to 911 ASSIST REMINDERRebecca
