My 10th Ford

Crazy to think that, as I'm only 28, but yeah rockin my first BRAND NEW Ford! And yes I'm financially sound, don't worry.

2015 Energi TI I picked up for $30,500 OTD, stickered at $40K+! There are good 2015 deals to be had people!

Easiest car I ever bought, really. With incentives and a military discount, it was a no brainer. Was really looking for 6-spd manual family sedans (I have 2 youngins now), but came across these and love it! Hybrids are really very clever, and compliment the ICE very well. I drive alot on the military base, and this thing will go all day at 35 mph. Love the engineering, and the Fusion is quality.

Read alot about them on here, and I can share some opinions so far:

-Sony system is OK. I usually put a sub and door speakers in all my cars, so this system didn't blow me away, but it's good enough.

-Rear suspension feels kinda jolty over bumps.

-Love the seats

-Love looks inside/out

-Visibility is kinda poor

-MFT is eh...but liveable

-That trunk! Oh, well, wife has a minivan for room (also Ford)

-Titanium was the way to go (insert bias)

Sold 2 cars on CL to make up some of the cost, both Fords (see a pattern?), and I already changed my federal tax stuff around on my pay to take advantage of the tax incentives (already spoke to a tax advisor). Glad I did early, cause I didn't really understand the "refund" at first.

I love the customization of the dash, and the amount of control over the car. I try not to let the MPG(e)s get the best of me, and I still like to give her the berries and run the ICE often. I really like the looks of people when I pull away in EV mode, hilarious. This is such a sleeper.

Bit of bad luck, however, as I was about to get my windows tinted last week, I pulled out of a spot when a wild SUV came flying in front of me. I slammed the brakes, but the car didn't stop "immediately", kinda like a slight hesitation, and their car drug across my front bumper, scratching and denting the bottom portion. I have never been in any kind of scrape in any car, and it happens to me with my less-then-2-week-old new car. AH! Guess I'm buying a new bumper cash. Ouch. Se la vi?

Anyway, I'm a shadetree and hope to wrench on it when the time comes, within my capabilities, and I hope to help out a little on the forums if I can.

Previous vehicles are '91 Taurus SHO (1st car, thanks dad!), 5.0 and Cobra Mustangs, and some peasant models in between.

See ya!
