Record Fusion Energi Sales

Even in the remaining months of the first generation FFE, new sales records are being made.  For April, FFE sales are up 73%.  For the first quarter, sales are up 59%.

The FFE sold better than the Leaf (1,331 vs 787) even though the Leaf has a new version with greater range.  For the year FFE is outselling the Leaf.

Since the 2017s FFEs aren't out yet,  I would expect FFE sales to drop off for the next coupe of months, but who knows.

Those numbers tell me that the Model 3 kick-starter campaign, at least temporarily, has effectively killed the market for other BEVs :-|

That pesky law of unintended consequences rears its ugly head.  At least to the segment of the population that wants to see as many BEV's as possible being deployed as quickly as possible.

Look at the Tesla model S numbers and how they change form month to month. Tesla builds on a timetable based on different regions of the planet. US sales will be up into the thousands again by the end of the quarter.

Another huge month for the Fusion Energi with 1,453 units sold.  That's up 47% over last year even though the overall auto market was down in May, especially for sedans.

The BEVs had yet another bad month.

LEAF was down 53% to only 979 units.  Model S had another month with a huge decline, down 50% to 1,200.
