Have had zero issues with car till last night. Got in car to leave event, pushed start button, engine started but it wouldn't shift out of park. Pushed ignition to turn off but it would not stop running. Tried several times. Noticed a plug shaped warning light on cluster never seen before. At one point a brief came on that car was plugged in, msg went off, never came back. Then interior lights started blinking crazily, car revved up and down, then it would go into sleep mode. Eventually all electronic controls inside stopped working. It continued to spasmodically start, stop, blink, rev, then over about an hour exterior lights gradually faded - at different rates. Tail lights put on a crazy Las Vegas style blink fest then finally died. Sounds terminal, anyone have ideas or had similar experience? Still waiting to hear from dealer service.

Where is the car being serviced? At a Ford Dealer?

Are there any codes in ANY module?

I would not rule out a bad 12v battery. In my experience multiple concerns like you experienced indicates a network fault which can be caused by vehicle voltage concerns, module failures and most commonly wiring concerns. Your Fusion has multiple electronic control modules and multiple systems that need to share data to operate properly which is achieved by using communication networks. When a network fails usually things just stop working but sometimes will create erratic faults and cause multiple warning indicators to illuminate. Diagnosis can be tricky and if wiring is the root cause it may take a little time to locate if the technician needs to remove parts from the vehicle to access, inspect and repair a damaged circuit.

The issue has been SOLVED. Car was running fine for dealer once they got it charged up again (aaaargh) but after a lot of sleuthing it was chased down to a chafed wiring harness. The dealer's service Dept was great. They kept looking through service bulletins and checking them out until they found this one. Harness was replaced and relocated and car is again running great, just like it never had a stroke :). Repair was fully covered under hybrid parts warranty which was a good thing since I was 72 miles over the 36k standard warranty. Wouldn't hurst for any other 2014 Fusion Hybrid and Energi owners to have this harness checked out next time it is in for service, because I can tell you the issue was NOT pretty to see or deal with!
