steve4810 Posted October 4, 2016 at 03:53 PM Report Share Posted October 4, 2016 at 03:53 PM (edited) Starting two days ago our 2017 Fusion Energi beeps it's horn rapidly 3 times the second we press the "start" button when the car is off. When we press the button to turn off the car there isn't any beeping. I tried Ford Owner's Chat and they had no idea and told me to ask a dealer. Does anyone know what 3 horn beeps on "start" means? Other than the annoying 3 beeps, everything else seems normal and no "check engine" type light is lit that I know of but we've only had the car a few weeks so an answerr may be staring me in the face. By the way this is our third Fusion Hybrid and the first two were wonderful and we never had a problem worse than a slow leak on a tire one time. My wife is driving it at the moment but I'll try bouncing in the seat as soon as she gets back. By the way is there a place in the owners manual that mentions 3 beeps as even being a signal? If I get out but leave the key fob in the cup holder or something like that it doesn't beep. So that would make me think something related to the key fob but it also needs to talk to the key fob to let you start the car so that doesn't make much sense. Does it do it with both key fobs?
