OregonTrail Posted November 28, 2016 at 03:46 AM Report Share Posted November 28, 2016 at 03:46 AM I am leasing a 2015 Fusion Energi, with only 6500 miles. I have recently notices after a couple of heavy rains, there is a large leak at the upper center console, mostly water coming out of the left map light. There was enough water coming out of the light, that it actually filled up the leather boot surrounding the shift lever. I plan on calling the dealer tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this? Thanks in advance, Kipp
Eric4539 Posted November 29, 2016 at 05:48 AM Report Share Posted November 29, 2016 at 05:48 AM Hi Kipp, I've driven in very heavy rain several times and have not experienced any leaks at any time. I have the moonroof and no leaks from that either. Let us know what the dealer finds.
Russael Posted December 5, 2016 at 05:30 PM Report Share Posted December 5, 2016 at 05:30 PM It's likely one of the moonroof drains are plugged. There are 4 holes that surround the moonroof to drain water away. If any one of them gets plugged, it will cause an interior water leak. Girlfriend had this problem with her 2012 Focus. I wound up running string trimmer line down the tube to try to get it out, which didn't work, so I wound up using compressed air with a straw and that got it cleared up.
