Deezul Posted December 23, 2016 at 03:33 AM Report Share Posted December 23, 2016 at 03:33 AM I ordered the USA PC-0113-PA-63 from EVI last week, and when it arrived, I found I received their new model, the PC-0114-AA-SM. A phone call with EVI confirmed that this is their new improved charger. Instead of 10A and 16A charging, it has 8A, 12A, and 16A charging. Using a 110V circuit and 12A charging, I'm able to get a full charge in about 4.5 hours. I'm still planning to put in a 240V outlet for 16A charging, but the 12A option gives me something a little quicker than the Ford OEM charger, with no change in outlets. It also has more valuable LCD display, but since I never saw the old model, I can't tell you what's new, just what mine has. Amp setting, temperature of the charger (?), total kilowatts hours for the current charge, charging time, outlet voltage, actual amps, and kilowatts. I've only used a few times, but I'm impressed with it and appreciate the little bit of extra speed 12A gives. Can't wait to get my 14-50 outlet put in! Deezul Posted December 24, 2016 at 08:41 PM Author Report Share Posted December 24, 2016 at 08:41 PM Quick update, I got my 240V circuit wired in today, and the fast charging is going well! 15 feet of 10/3 wire, a Levitron wall/floor mount box, and a 30A circuit, and it's moving along at 13.3 or so amps. I noticed several breakers tripped on my circuit breaker box, but I think those were just from when I was reinstalling the door and accidently hit them. At least I hope! bdginmo Posted December 25, 2016 at 03:40 AM Report Share Posted December 25, 2016 at 03:40 AM Nice. I looked into an EVI charger as well. In the end I got a 240v ClipperCreek with a 14-30 plug. The cabin preheating with GO times works better on 240v so enjoy the added comfort on cold days.
