Charging car with solar panel?

I can buy a solar panel on Amazon for 300-500 dollars

Can I use it to run my battery charger on the Energi?

Anyone try this.

Takes the draw off the house.

I live in AZ and we have sun all the time pretty much. I could use this when the car is parked at home during the day and not charge at night

thanks all

If you mean to charge the HVB, probably not.

You'll need 120VAC/12A minimum to charge. That's 1.44kW, which is above the capacity of most single solar panels. Looking at what's on Amazon in the price range specified, they're all under 100 watts (0.1 kW) so you'd need at least 20 of them to charge your car, assuming they were able to be hooked together properly.

If you want solar for your home, get it! But not from Amazon. Find a local, reputable installer who will work with your utility and go for it.

The posts above have nailed it. No go for a single small solar panel to do anything useful related to the Energi. Your questions indicate you should take the advice from @flyingcheesehead and find a good local installer to answer your questions in context of your local situation. If you want to do further reading on your own about solar energy, I recommend the web site of Northern Arizona Wind and Sun. NAWS has dedicated a large portion of their site to solar energy systems education. It's not specific to charging an electric vehicle, but is all good info that will help.
