Charge life

Ok so I have a 2016 fusion energy? Idk if that’s right. Possibly synergy. I leave the battery on the charger for 8 hours or so and when I get in the car it says full battery. I drive about 15 miles and it goes right down to 0. It was my wife’s car and she never charged the battery. I was told that if the battery gets charged regularly, it will hold charge longer. I have no clue as this is all new to me.

The battery miles display is a mathematical estimate.  Since the battery wasn't regularly charged the computer has no clue what the battery is capable of.  There is no known way to measure the charge in a Li-Ion battery.  The computer measures what is put into it and what comes out of it.  Don't drive at high speed on the highway under battery power.  Air drag increases with the square of the speed.  Use the battery for around town and in traffic jams.  Switch to EV Later for high speed driving.  The computer will gradually figure out the capacity of the battery.  The battery capacity will be much lower when winter arrives.  It works best at 72° F.
