I contacted a FORD Dealer in Atlanta area and he said he could get a 2019 FFE could get one from another Dealer in a day or two. Not sure if I believe it or not but did say they have 2019 Fusion SE's now.

As the buying guide clearly states, that's not true.  Titanium is it.  And it includes things that were options before, but the price is lower.

We ordered a 2018, it never got built.  They ordered a 2019, but could not tell us incentives as they didn't yet exist, so we found a dealer trade 2018 and got it on 9/21.  Turns out that the 2019 incentives (leasing, not buying) are very close and it would have been better to wait, but we wanted certain packages, and Ruby Red.

The 2019 also has increased EV range of 25 instead of 21.

Little confusion here, Fusion SE was an ICE model, not FFH/FFE. :)

In addition to the SE gas model, they did offer an SE Energi in the Fusion since 2013 (don't know if they stopped it as of 2019 only, previous year ordering guides are here on the forum too and anyone can look that up) - but they called it "SE Luxury", maybe to distinguish it from the gas version?

Right.  And for 2019, the ONLY Energi model is the Titanium.

  • 2 weeks later...

There has been some confusion as to whether 2020 is the last year, or it is cancelled in 2020.  I'm not sure which is true.  It seems kinda strange to increase the battery capacity for a single year's production.

Seems like the Chinese market (built by Changan Ford) for MY2018 Mondeo Energi had already received the 9 kWh battery. Therefore with Ford axing the Fusion/Mondeo in North America means the 2019 would therefore be the swan-song of the Fusion Energi, in much the same way the mk1 Chevy Volt for 2015 received a final update from its 2012 original 16 kWh battery to 17 kWh for just 1 model year.
