marshel308 Posted October 18, 2018 at 04:09 AM Report Share Posted October 18, 2018 at 04:09 AM The big, central touch screen has gone all white on my 2014 Fusion Energi. it's an SE luxury so it has the big screen. It will display the back up camera properly when in reverse but then goes all white again. The climate control buttons still work and I can do all the steering wheel button functions off the smaller screen. The center volume control still works for raising and lowering volume but it will not shut it off, the center tuning knob does nothing when tuned to a radio station, I'm limited to presets through the steering wheel buttons. When I turn the car off, the radio still stays on with the white screen; when I open the door it shuts off like it should and then briefly displays the Ford logo screen before going black, then it briefly flashes white for a tenth of a second or so and then goes black like it should. Not sure if I should try doing a power disconnect to reboot the system or how I should proceed next. It's actually kind of dangerous driving at night with a bright white screen distracting you. murphy Posted October 18, 2018 at 09:40 AM Report Share Posted October 18, 2018 at 09:40 AM Disconnect the 12 volt battery for 5 minutes to guarantee that all of the computers and microprocessors lose all power. If that doesn't fix it you will need the services of a Ford dealer to troubleshoot the screen.
4cylinder Posted October 24, 2018 at 03:22 PM Report Share Posted October 24, 2018 at 03:22 PM The MyFordTouch system was and still is garbage. Even if you have this covered by warranty, I'd honestly just do this if you intend to keep the car for a while: http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread.php?tid=3881
