Hey all! I am to be part of a great community! I am  having an electricion  come by tomorrow and install a 40 amp line and breaker. I have read up on all the units that are listed above I was burning the midnight oil so many choices. I ended up going with a brand that was not listed up above.

Its a small company eMotorWerks and they do the JuceBox charging systems. I went with them for the following:

1. The price $549 +$7.99 (no tax/shipping) for licence plate frame (kiss my amps).

2. Future expansion adjusts for the fusion or up to a Tesla.

3. Portable when removed from wall. (can buy adapters)

4. Comes with 14-50p plug (RV plug).

5. Has WIFI built in for more connectivity options.

6. Autonomous features just plug and walk away

7. Has a phone app for the charge unit.

8. Weatherproof for indoors or outdoor use.

8. Small US company all components made in USA.

You need a 50 amp line (6 gauge wire) and a 50 amp breaker.  In the USA a breaker may not be continuously loaded to more than 80% of the breaker rating.

I think I've decided on the JuiceBox Pro 40, but I haven't bought it yet. Need to find a reputable electrician to install the outlet!

Yeah, I know it's way more than the Energi needs. However, I'm pretty much sold on electric driving at this point, to the point where I think I'm going to put in a deposit for a Tesla Model 3 on day one, so I'm future-proofing a bit.

We also do have a need for one SUV in the family (my wife is a band director and has to haul large instruments sometimes) so I'm hoping to get her a PHEV crossover when the lease is up on her Edge in early 2018... And the JuiceBox pro has a cool feature where you can plug two of them into a single 50 amp circuit, and if one car is charging it gets the full 40 amps, if you plug in a second car it drops both of them down to 20 so you can run them both on the same circuit. Cool!
