There is a limit of how many watts the system will support (12v 180 watts for the 12V DC power point and 115 watts for the 110 Volt AC Power Point). Check the owner's manual, there are a bunch of disclaimers on that page (page 142 on the 2013 PDF). It also states that the vehicle must be on. On Page 143 it states: The power point temporarily turns off power if the 150 watt limit is exceeded. It can also switch to a fault mode when it is overloaded, overheated, or shorted. Unplug your device and switch the ignition off then on for overloading and shorting conditions. Let the system cool off, then turn the ignition off then on for an overheating condition. The power point is not designed for electric devices such as:• Cathode ray tube type televisions• Motor loads, such as vacuum cleaners, electric saws and other electric power tools, compressor-driven refrigerators, etc.• Measuring devices, which process precise data, such as medical equipment, measuring equipment, etc.• Other appliances requiring an extremely stable power supply: microcomputer-controlled electric blankets, touch sensor lamps, etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
