I did the exact same thing on my FFET, back in July when I got my '14 FFET,  and also added the dual exhaust Ford muffler so it all works like it came from the factory that way.  The muffler was about $300 delivered and comes with the entire pipe all the way up to the engine.  I cut it off right at the muffler and had it welded to the stock Energy exhaust pipe and it bolted up like it was intended to be there.  Everything fits perfectly and the car looks a lot nicer with the dual exhaust finishers IMO.

Interesting. If they had a rear valence with no exhaust pipe that's what I'd choose. I love the fact that the Focus Electric has such a clean back end with no exhaust pipe sticking out. Now that it's winter and you can see the exhaust from cars I wonder how many people notice as we drive that both the Focus & the Fusion aren't emitting any dirty exhaust fumes into the air.

Not sure what you mean, my Energi had an exhaust pipe sticking out on the passenger's side rear with a chrome tip if I recall correctly.  The valance also had a cut out in the valance to allow the pipe to stick out.

Exactly. I wish there was a way to modify the rear valence to hide the exhaust pipe since most of the time around the city we're driving EV. I like the fact that our Focus Electric has a smooth rear bumper with no exhaust pipe holes.

jdhl, I like that look, now lose the badging and you will have a nice clean look from the rear!  I'd probably go ahead and do it the way Cario did but have the exhaust shop install a smaller/lighter weight muffler with (the stock one is HUGE) the twin pipes going into the new exhaust outlets.

Just to be clear, the valance you are referring to is the upper 3/4's of the rear bumper fascia and the skirt is the lower stock Ford piece?  If that's right, I'm not understanding why you changed the upper valance piece as it looks stock and wouldn't it be much simpler to just change out the lower skirt piece that contains the dual exhaust outlets?

Hybridbear, I like your suggestion as well, no exhaust outlet, and just have the exhaust tip pointing down a bit recessed.  Not sure if would have an issue with exhaust fumes pooling underneath the rear or not (probably not) but that would be  clean look and and then if we could bondo the fuel door shut - no one would ever guess :)  JK on the fuel door!
