Looking to buy used, does this car exist? yes it does

I’m in the market for a used fusion energi titanium with dynamic cruise control. Specifically a 15’-16’. Im excited to own one. My problem is I’m very particular. So my one question is this; did they make a fusion titanium, fully loaded, but with the Oxford White paint?

 

I found one but it sold before I could look at it.  So they do exist.

I don't think Oxford White was ever offered for the higher trims, sorry.

 

If you can spare a little more $$$ I'd strongly recommend looking at '17s as the adaptive cruise is superior (brings you to a complete stop and resumes), and Sync3 is leaps and bounds ahead of the horrible MyFord Touch system. While you can do an aftermarket Sync3 upgrade in a '13-'16, you can't do the same for the adaptive cruise (to my knowledge). You are also much more likely to have some factory bumper-to-bumper warranty remaining by going for a '17. The Ford ESP isn't a bumper-to-bumper warranty so if you buy a '15 or '16 and get something like peeling trim or rattle noises, you're paying out of pocket to fix that even if you buy the ESP.

 

As you probably already know, depreciation is extreme on the Energi, and I did save about 40% off MSRP when I bought a 13-month-old '17 Energi Titanium (fully loaded minus ventilated seats) in November 2017. Look out-of-state if you need to - the Metro Detroit area, where I currently live, is a fantastic place to buy slightly-used American cars, as many employees of the Big Three are issued them as company vehicles, and turn them in after about a year, often with < 10,000 miles. My own vehicle is a former Ford executive fleet vehicle and it had just 7800 miles on it when I drove off the lot!

I agree with @4cylinder on his comments about '17 models.  However, I would add that you shouldn't discount looking at new '17s, and here's why: Yes there is a large depreciation the day these cars drive off the lot, however, there are strong incentives on these cars due to 1) factory trying to dump remaining '17s, 2) dealers trying to clear their lots of '17s, 3) financing, 4) federal tax credit for PHEV, 5) state reimbursement for PHEV, and 6) utility company reimbursement for PHEV.

 

Adding those all up, I was able to pick up a recent '17 FFE Platinum for $14K off the sticker.  Doing the math, that's a 34% discount off MSRP.  That's not quite the 40% quoted above, but it's close enough for me to want to go with a brand new vehicle.

I don't know about the Titaniums, but 6 months ago when I was looking for an SE in Oxford White, they were as rare as a pink elephant.  I finally had to fly down to Los Angeles to look at a couple of them and buy one.  There were none in my area for months (or they were previously wrecked).  Platinum White cars were a dime a dozen.  Keep looking, or consider the aforementioned '17s.

Oh, and don't believe the online ads that say "oxford white".  Many of these are actually Platinum White and the seller doesn't know the difference.  Ask for a photo of the door sticker. It should have the "ext col" code of YZ or Z1.

Check www.burkartford.com.  They have 28 2017 Fusion Energi.  They have one white Titanium, but with no additional options.  They have a metallic white Platinum with everything for $24,995 with 6k miles.  Prices range from $15.5k for a Titanium up to the Platinum for $24,995.  I recently purchase my magnetic Titanium for $17k, MSRP was $36,105, 15k miles.  

 

Ask for Jack.  He is very easy to work with.

I bought a 17’ titanium with every available option except for the park assist. Has 16k miles and I bought it for $19,590. I’m stoked. Thanks for all of your help!

 

Congrats!  The parking assist is really pretty worthless in my opinion.  I have it on my '17 Titanium and never use it.  Tried it a few times and found with the help of the review camera I can park it better and quicker than using the assist.

I agree.  It's a great party trick to show folks who haven't seen it before, but in my opinion, it takes too long to 1) hit the button, 2) indicate, 3) pull up far enough and slow enough while watching the screen for instructions on when to stop.  I could have been in the spot by then using muscle memory on how to parallel park.

I had the park assist on my 2013 hybrid and also on the 2017 Energi Titanium. I agree with the others - I can easily do it myself and it's painfully easy with a rearview camera.

 

However, the park assist is the only way to obtain parking sensors in the front. I find that it's a bit more difficult to gauge where exactly the front corners are due to the slope of the hood, compared to other vehicles like my 2015 Escape. I could live without them, but they're certainly nice to have, especially when parking head-in in tight garages and trying to get as close to the wall as possible.
