When to switch to Mile Mileage Oil

My 2103 Energi has a little over 95k miles (over 65k EV miles) on it right now, and I switched to changing my own oil a couple of years ago.  My Dealer used to offer 'The Works' packages for $39.99 plus a $10 service rebate credit that I could use on the next oil change.  I took full advantage of that (it was cheaper than doing it myself) but they stopped offering it and raised the price to $49.99.  Maybe I'm cheap, but it's quicker to do it myself, and now I'm using full synthetic (usually Mobil 1)  vs. the Motorcraft Syn-Blend that the dealer used.

Anyway, my question is when should I switch to a high mileage oil?  Most major oil brands offer High Mileage oil now, and it's the same price as the regular synthetic when it's on sale (usually between $28-$32 including filter).  Apparently it contains additives to keep seals lubricated and can even rejuvenate dried out ones.  Everything I have read is positive about it - and I'm a skeptic when it comes to engine additives.  The only question seems to be around the impact on turbo charged engines, which does not apply in this case.  The Oil manufactures recommend starting around 75k miles, but that assumes a regular car.  My ICE has less than 30k on it, but it is 5 years old.  I'm interested in opinion on which is the contributing factor that requires the high mileage oil - age or mileage?

IMHO you still have a long ways to go on that ICE in order to be putting in high-mileage oil... I change the oil on my wife's car and use whatever name-brand full synthetic 5W-20 is the cheapest, used to be Valvoline but for the past couple years it's been Quaker State.  I've used Mobil1 but it's normally about $5 higher for the 5-qt jug.
