  1. I've had to tow my Energi Titanium to the dealer twice so far. It's in the second time in a week. Left the house one morning, got about 2 miles down the road, and the engine started vibrating (misfires). Turned around and got home on the battery (EV only mode). A friend let me borrow a code reader, and it had 4 codes: P0302, P0301, P0300 and P0201. After the first appointment, all they did was replace the spark plugs under warranty (did 100K service last November, car has about 93K miles). Got the car home fine (about 12 miles), but when I went out a few days later, got the same issue about 3 miles from home. Again, thank you EV mode, I got home safely. Car is in right now and yesterday they reprogrammed the PCM and possibly other components from a service bulletin. I don't feel great about this, so I told them to keep the car overnight and drive it today. What do you think? I guess they are testing the voltages of everything, but I don't feel good about this. Should I force them to do something, like shift the coils from 1 & 2 to 3 & 4? Also could be a flaky fuel injector. I think by they time they look at it, the car has the codes, but it is running fine in the shop and when they test.
  2. What does everyone think of using something like this when parked for about 1 week in the sun. https://www.amazon.com/SUNER-POWER-Battery-Charger-Maintainer/dp/B07DFCDKLJ/ref=sr_1_1?gclid=CjwKCAiA3abwBRBqEiwAKwICAwhRieNkOFziwLsycghl8oKKrb0TaZB34vaiOmxKpBZW7lZLw2OzVxoCookQAvD_BwE&hvadid=323341307659&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9007526&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=e&hvrand=15867993081364324928&hvtargid=kwd-389405571517&hydadcr=272_1011697974&keywords=12+volt+solar+battery+trickle+charger&qid=1577716824&sr=8-1 What size would you need? Could I just plug into the cigarette lighter?
  3. Are the clamps on any of these small portable chargers small enough to get around the bolt on the positive terminal? The one I use is very difficult to get around this.
  4. My 12 volt died again last night. Fortunately the car was in a parking garage (fortunately because it was raining). 2013 Fusion Energi. It happened over the summer when I was away using another car. Energi was just sitting in the driveway unplugged. I had the 12 volt replaced since this has happened a few times, and sure enough, it happened again last night when the car was sitting in a hotel garage for about 8 days, unplugged. I wish I knew what was draining the battery. Has there been any software updates to fix this? I have to keep a portable jumper in the back seat. The car should have come with one. LOL
  5. I had battery drain problems when I first got my 2013 FFE Titanium. It was a wire bundle short in the back (I suspect the rubbing problem someone mentioned above). They replaced the battery once, before finding this problem. No problems really since then except when I parked at an airport for a week, unplugged, outside in the heat. Fortunately the parking lot could give me a jump. Fast forward to last Monday. I was gone for 1 week, and had the car parked outside in the blazing heat in MD, unplugged in my driveway. When I got home, the battery was dead. I have a portable jumper I used to bring it back to life. Not sure I have the updates... could anyone tell me what they charged you to do the software updates related to the 12v battery? Car is out of warranty and extended warranty since March. Car had been fine for the last couple days, but I still may replace the battery since it is now about 6 years old. Can anyone recommend a jumper with narrow clamps that will fit the tight space under the red rubber thingy?
  6. My dealer in Waldorf, MD wants to test mine. WTF? Recall says replacement (unless they don't want to replace before parts come in). Do they really want that liability. I haven't used mine for years, but I now have access to a plug in a parking garage (which by the way, I don't want to burn down). I'm assuming they want to test because the parts/service will be decided in the 1st quarter of 2019, which we are almost 1/2 way through. But, I thought they told people to stop using these. I'm assuming the problem will reveal itself when you try to use an extension cord or if your outlet/connection is bad.
  7. Anyone get this yet? Still waiting for them to contact me after getting the notice last year.
  8. I really didn't use it much, but it will be nice to have a new one.
  9. Someone told me there might be a bulletin for repairing the HD radio (not satellite). Has anyone had problems and gotten a fix?
  10. I'm taking my car in for service soon, but was wondering if anyone has had to have their suspension fixed after a rough winter of navigating potholes and rough roads. They are terrible here in Maryland, and not too long ago I drove fast over some rough pavement near a new development going in. When I pull into my driveway (which is on a slight incline) and turn the wheel, I get a creaking sound. I watched some youtube videos of other cars, and it's possible it is one or more CV joints. Or, something related to the suspension. Anyone experienced any problems like this. The car alignment is fine and there is no pulling to one side or anything like that. Just wondering if what I have is the start of the problem, since it doesn't happen every time I turn the wheel.
  11. I use SiriusXM Traffic and it's set to expire at the end of the year. Since about 1-2 weeks ago, the traffic has not been appearing on the nav map. Has anyone else had this problem? I had this happen once before, but it came back after a few days. I tried resetting the satellite radio using the Sirius website, but it didn't do anything. I do get icons for traffic issues on the map, and things like the gas price finder still work. Anyone have any ideas what I can do?
  12. The CMax forum might shed some light on this... http://fordcmaxenergiforum.com/topic/4620-modem-upgrade/page-6
  13. All, you should check out the CMax Energi thread. Strange things were happening after the upgrade, like the App EV range was stuck. This may have been fixed as soon as today. It was a back end Ford issue with their servers. http://fordcmaxenergiforum.com/topic/4620-modem-upgrade/page-6
  14. Dealer was telling me the modem was up front. He said the service guy mistakenly thought the Fusion Energi was the same as the Lincoln.
  15. Ha ha ha (NOT)..... So the dilio with this is, yes, the modem for the Fusion Energi is under the rear deck, but in the Lincoln (hybrid?), it's up front. I tried to tell this to service before I dropped off the car. Obviously the first one they've done. They need to order the trim parts, which are a one way proposition. Once they come out, they can't be put back in. They need to be replaced. So, I have to pick up the car, wait for the parts, then take it back. Oh well.
