Platinum model listed as a Titanium with Ins. Co. and Carfax
lonzo71 replied to cortezer's topic in 2017-2018 Fusion Energi
Just brought my new ride last week and didn't noticed anything till I saw this. Not sure what to make of it other than Carfax and such are lazy and didn't add the Platinum trim. I did check all the paperwork including the window sticker and everything is right on that..so not sure why others aren't saying the same thing.... -

is there anybody really on the forums anymore?....guess not.. Finally, after going in yesterday and showing them the problem, all they had to do was update the front dash module...of course, costing me 87 bucks! you would think, that something like this SHOULD be FREE! or at least under warranty... Just a few more years and I'll be DONE with this car and this company! If you are reading this, I'm sure, one day, you'll be GLAD to get rid of yours too... As this will be my last post....I'll try and not let the door hit me as I go. good luck with your car...you'll need it

So, this past Tuesday, I decided to try again with the remote start options in the dash. I used my dealership website, booked the appointment and showed up and told the guy what's wrong with it and all. Come to find out, they wanted both set of keys, so had to go back and get them. Anyways, around 3pm or so, got the phone call for me to pick it up. Sadly, the guy I talked to wasn't there when I picked up but was told everything is good, the remote start works now.. Sadly, On my way home, I found out that nothing changed, they didn't fix the issue. That night I emailed the dealership and was again, told that it works...so I emailed him back and said, to make sure we are on the same sheet, the remote starter always worked, its the remote starter options in the dash that isn't working... I haven't heard back after that...

Ford has many more issues than just MFM or 2G problems. They cant keep their own ford site up so that the dealerships need to work on the cars.. I am so done with FORD
-
So finally took it in for them to look at it. Sadly, the ford site was down for them so they really didnt know what to do other than "look" at it. They are guessing that its greyed out because the remote start/car doesnt support it because its not the right "version"...They suggested to make an appointment during the week.... I'm at the point to say screw it and not do anything about it. Hope to sell the car in 2-3 more years....

Wish you all the best with your new fusion

ADT uses 2g phones for their cell protection, but it shouldnt be the problem till AT&T pulls the switch. Its either the car/MFM....so its a Ford issue.

There are also post from myself and others that you can compare gas/electric prices to give you an idea. I wouldnt buy a plugin/hybrid just for the savings/cost of gas. It should be a combo of reasons why. Esp if you are looking for a commuter car... -

Ford might not be leading the way on range, but range and confort and add some tech, I think Ford is leading the way

Thanks Rebecca!

I'd keep it plugged in all the time, it doesnt hurt anything and most systems dont use enough electric that it counts $. If you have time rated service with your power co, then it would make sense to charge it when cheaper. But for anything else, Leave it plugged in.
