About dudley

  1. EV+ takes the battery into the 90%+ DOD range, which is too far. No I didn't think that's it at all, the + is about 1/2 mile at best. new car is only using 5.0 to 5.2 of 7.6 kwh.
  2. The 2018 fusion energi does not have ev+ and no more health report to be able see oil life%. what do you guys think. what else did ford change that they're not telling us.
  3. My 2015 energi lease was up and wanted to buy it but @ 23,500 it was a no brainer, no way. I was talking to my dealer about used energi to see what he had 1 only @ 22,500 and then he we talk about the discounts on new energy 17 and 18. They had a 2018 white pearl pretty loaded MSRP 36,000 they wheel and deal me a great price when said and done and after tax credit, less than my pay off.
  4. I use a Nissan leaf charger that was upgraded 3 years ago, 110 or 220 all auto. was 285.00 upgrade at that time. evseupgrade.com
  5. Hi Lonzo71, I to have a lot of lights and sign ( 24 + 10 on my drive home ) also 1/2 mile back up going up hill waiting on a light to make a left turn. I think 53 mpg is very good as well. do you save your EV for the stop + go or do you use the auto. Later, Dave.
  6. No chance. I put in the suggestion box more than once.
  7. I want to start a new thread about mpg out of the ford fusion energi we drive. So to start off with I would like to say that this car has done better than I expected. My daily grind to and from work is 70 miles. The drive in the morning is 28 highway and 4.5 on city streets, the drive in the late afternoon is 37 miles which is all city 25 to 45 mph. For the last 3 weeks I've been averaging 70 mpg. The weather here has been a low 40's in the morning to the mid 50's on the way home. I drive in EV to the freeway and switch to hybrid mode, cruise control to 62 mph and enjoy the drive. On my drive home I will encounter a few rolling hills and one steep hill. I use EV for everything but the steep hill, going down is about a 2 mile road, I try to get as much regen as possible. I use 1 to .07 kwh in the morning and all the rest in the afternoon drive, for a total of 5.4 to 5.6 kwh. My last fill up was 827 miles and I used 11.8 gallons of gas and 70.1 kwh of electricity. That was 10 days and driving to work. I also have a Kia hybrid that I drove to the same work site for 1.5 years that had 40 mpg life time (great car).
  8. you can go into ( engineering test mode ) and look at total gals. used on trip A or B that's what I do when I fill up.
  9. Hi all, have had this car about 1 month so trying to understand what's the difference with car read out and mfm. my drive to work is 32.8 miles about 28 hwy miles 4.8 city streets and home is 36.7 miles all back roads 25 to 45 mph home. cars reads 48 mpg to work and 95 105 135 mpg home but mfm is 70 75 85 mpg. I use about .5 to .7 kwh driving to work and all the rest going home. so what I see is the car is over reporting or mfm is under reporting. Thanks, Dave.
  10. hello all. looking for some help with the x codes for my scan gauge. I would like to see brake regen, engine charge to battery, or any other things that may be use. also I have seen that the scan gauge is reporting that fuel is being used but all driving has been ev only ? I have reset to factory setting but still get 1.0 gal. or so per 100 mile of 100% ev driving. Thanks, Dave.

    my new car

I work in the construction, so 5 miles today could be 70 miles next week. Keeping the kia and returning the leaf. 2 year test run was good but not a perfect fit for her. the Kia is a good hwy car but a little short in the city so for now it wins.

    my new car

Hello all, I just picked up a 2015 ford fusion energi titanium in guards and black interior. I have a kia hybrid and my wife has a leaf and I think that the energi has the best of both worlds. I have put over 300 miles in 10 days and only drive 2.5 miles to work. Looking forward to the miles and what the car can do on the hwy. the city mpg is unreal for a car this size.
