  1. Thx for the replies so far...I don't think it has to do with the insulation topic although that was an interesting quick read bc I noticed my back doors had a very hollow cheap sound when closed. I'm bringing my car in for service this Friday so perhaps I'll have an update for the thread. The main reason I'm bringing it however is that my charger door broke already lol. No longer swings as it should. Hopefully updates to follow.
  2. What's up all, just picked up my 3rd FFE, pretty much the same ole car but jazzed anytime I can get my hands on a new one. That said, I came across an issue that's really getting on my nerves and the dealership is giving me a runaround bc they don't know. Here's the deal: When the car is on, I'm hearing a faint noise that I pinpointed was a cooling fan behind the radio screen, very similar to a laptop fan when that begins to overheat. Anyone come across this? The issue is that it runs CONSTANTLY and is flat out annoying. Any thoughts?? Appreciate any answers in advance! Happy holidays all :)
  3. Hey all, I was gonna start a new thread but my question could fit into this one... Just traded my 2015 FFE lease for a 2017 FFE lease and had one question that I can't find anywhere: In my 2015, when putting on the AC or heat you would see your range fall by a few miles, understandably so. However, in the 17s, it doesn't. Is there any kind of change to the system where the heat/AC doesn't draw power like it did in the 15s? Thanks in advance, sorry if I just missed this answer somewhere else on the board.
  4. Actually I skimmed the rest of the thread after I posted the reply and realized my best wishes didn't really come true for you as I noticed the accident posts. Sorry about that one, tough break for sure.
  5. Nice review tc, coming up on the final year of my lease and was looking into the Platinum (Titanium FFE currently). One thing that has bugged me from day one on my 2015 is every time I get into the car, whether it be 10 degrees or 90, I would have cold air blowing from the vents until I turned the climate on for a few seconds to release the air and then turn it off. This is not a very favorable requirement in the Mid-Atlantic winters, and often when I clicked the climate on for those few seconds the EV was lost for a good 5 minutes. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!! Others on the board have experienced this as well. Does this ring a bell and does this happen with the 2017s by chance? Thanks in advance, good luck with the new ride!
  6. Let me explain...I find myself concentrating so much on driving economically and maximizing my MPGs to the point that I just no longer have fun driving the car. No that I wake up to 10 degree temps on the east coast, I have to talk myself into putting the heat on since it'll kill my battery life. Plus, I find myself not driving as much when not fully or partially charged to avoid using gas. At first it was fun to see how long I could stretch out a tank of gas (3,100 miles is my best btw), but it's overtaken my driving habits and quite frankly it's becoming annoying. Anyone else in the same boat?
  7. That is a really sweet setup there, good luck with the 2016. Are those changes made to the 2016 programmable to the 2015?
  8. I thought this would go away during the hotter spring/summer months only to realize I have cold air blowing directly on my ankle at all times with the climate off. Other than the semi-warm "hot" setting on the seat warmers, this is my biggest pet peeve thus far. I've turned the climate on, hit the recirculate button, then turned it off and it sometimes worked. Next time I may need to keep it on a few more seconds. Sorry to say this, but I'm glad it's not just me and it's getting others just as aggravated.
  9. Ok so this may be a stupid question - is there any danger in sitting in my car while it charges? Danger with respect to anything in the airwaves? I know very little to nothing about radiology, batteries, lithium ions, etc as you probably already could tell by this question.
  10. I'm about 2000 miles from an oil change so I'll mention it again at that time although I won't need them by then. I'm pretty disappointed since I missed my heated seats in my last car. Like traumatic said my "3" is basically someone else's "1". There's absolutely no roasting of this guy's back side at all but I do love everything else about the car so I haven't made too much of a stink to the dealer as I could have.
  11. Meagan, any idea how long they give the seats to warm before checking the temp? I'm still pretty boggled as to how they showed between 95-105 degrees during their test. Again I had them on all ride to and from work today and felt virtually nothing. The steering wheel isn't overly impressive either but at least I can confirm the heat is working on it.
  12. Well, kinda what I figured. They're ordering a new speaker, so that's fine. But the seats fired up at a temp between 95 -105 degrees where the spec is between 75 - 105 or very similar. Unfortunately I just don't feel that translate to my "seated" parts :) Pretty disappointing but whatever. Not much I can do about it I guess.
  13. Taking it in this week. Just haven't gotten around to it yet, but every day I hold out hope that they will fire up. My fear is that they'll check functionality and say it's fine and chalk it up to personal preference. I'm a gadget guy so those extra benefits like heated seats and steering wheel meant a lot to me and it's been disappointing thus far. I'll definitely report back once I know what they say.
