About isaaktnt

  1. That makes sense..thanks.. but there are other times when I am leaving work with half HVB.. slowly backing up and ICE comes on "For Performance".. verified each time its on EV mode.. outside temp 90. Also I always run my AC at anything above 75.
  2. Do you ever drive in L with engine running? I always keep it in EV mode and L, but my ICE keeps coming on once in while for no reason and when you can feel the engine strain.
  3. My two month old car always switches to hybrid mode at 5.2-5.3? Is that normal?
  4. The oil stain is close to the oil cap so they might have spilled some topping it off and neglected to wipe it down. It had 100 miles on the odo but it was delivered from a dealer that was 60 miles away.. It looked like someone left the hood open and a desert dust storm hit... the area in front of the hood seal was even worst with dirt built up in the indentations about a few mm thick.. had to fill each up with water and let it soak loosen it up. Swirled each around and vacuum it up with a wet/dry shop vac. Well its clean now so I just attach the water spot pic. Sorry for the bad quality..
  5. My car must be on the lot for a while before delivery because the engine bay is very dirty with heavy layer of dust and oil stains on the engine cover. But the worst is there are heavy water spot damage under the spoiler. Only noticed it the next day after I got it. I tried to vinegar it out and wax it with spot remover but its permanently etched in. I understand its pretty hard to see it and by design water will easily pool under there. Been meaning to take it back the dealer, but have been so busy. I am not too bothered by it but since its a lease do you think they will ding me for something like this? It's been a month so now its going to be more difficult to claim that was there on delivery.
  6. Mine cuts it pretty close too.. solid beeping, but I made it each time and even same solid beeping on the way out. My problem is 2 out of the four times I tried it the rear tires hit the curb. Both times the car the the it aligns with before it starts backing up is parked really really close or actually hugging the curb with tire contact. Has anyone noticed this? It will be ridiculous if I have to go looked for properly parked cars for my active park assist to work properly. Wished there was a settings to stay farther away from the curb please.
  7. I got everything BUT the Blind spot and cross traffic doh! Coming from a Volt this is a much bigger and longer car. Backing out of a spot, I have to be way more careful and much slower. Find myself backing it in whenever possible. Not to say you can't live with any of the features, but one of the reason I got this car was for all the latest toys. Also been using the Auto parallel parking a lot too.. more for just the amusement of it.
  8. I am unable to reproduce this when the seat is not hot, which leads me to believe the fans blows the AC air from bottom up and pushes the heat up to the back. I can reproduce it when the seat been sitting in the sun all day.. and its still hot even after running it for 15 min. This is rather disappointing. But at least I know that the heating is not mistakenly activated. I will take a longer drive to see if it will eventually cool down the whole seat if given enough time.
  9. Ok this is very weird because I have used this feature practically everyday for the last month and thought it actually worked great until stumbling on this thread. Mine is as Blastphemy described, very cool at the bottom and neutral at the lower back and upper... until of course yesterday. I tried setting the memory seat for the first time using button 3 and pressing lock button on my remote after the second chime... didn't work of course, so I hopped into my car and drove off blasting the AC and using the seat cool feature. About 5 minutes later I notice the lower back portion got uncomfortably hot. Pull over and indeed the lower back portion is hot! the seat is cool.. the upper back is normal. Touch the passenger seat and the whole seat is normal temp. Turned on the seat cooler for that and the same thing... WTF I am not sure its related but that was the only thing I did yesterday. I'll try to reset the whole seat memory and key feature to see if that works.
  10. I will try using this car only for work and have a pretty consistent commute to work. I'll try one week in L and the other in D and will report...
  11. rjent, How much monthly? I got 420/month.. 1K down 12K miles for 36 months and 18K residual... looks like you got better deal.... but 18K is pretty reasonable residual to buyout.. but I'll see after 3 years..
  12. So if I drive 100% Electric for a trip on the website it still gives a MPG reading. How can there be MPG zero gas? Pardon my ignorance...
  13. I hear some light rubbing sound driving in L and coasting... put it in D and noise goes away.. assumed that its the regen process.. anyone know?
  14. Jeff_H So from your first example 7/24 that 85MPG is actually 85MPGe total for gas and electric? I usually gauge how efficient just electric driving by looking at how many miles I get from 1kWH. Noticed that I can pull off 5-6 miles per kWH in city driving but only 2 or 2.5 miles at freeway speeds. Trying to figure out if its just more efficient to switch to gas on the freeway even if I have enough battery range.
  15. Whoops should have looked more carefully.. thanks!
