  1. I got mine in about 3 weeks after I applied. I have a Titanium -are there any places where the stickers should not be placed, other than the obvious like over a sensor. I am mostly concerned about the stickers on the sides.
  2. For those of you former BMW owners who liked the feature that tilts the passenger side mirror to the curb (for parking), if you're not using memory position 2 or 3, you can program them to leave all the settings as is but tilt the mirror down. If you have to park close to another vehicle in a driveway, you'll appreciate this workaround.
  3. Mine came on once and because a car was partially in my lane trying to parallel park. Worked perfect.
  4. Maybe it's my age and needing more safety information/assistance ;-) or maybe I'm tired of playing the OPEC game. Or maybe the Beemer is about to get very expensive with brake maintenance, etc. it just seemed right the right time to switch. I've been looking at hybrIds for some time now and was pretty impressed with the Fusion. And then I went and test drove the Energi and that was it. I stopped driving the beemer like a racecar driver a long time ago so mentally I was ready for a change. Plus I'm a techno freak so this will keep me entertained for a long time. I expect bugs since this is a new model. I am an electronic engineer. They were able to correct the defroster and heater issues with a software update. There is a good learning curve to get everything out of this vehicle so I have read the manual (gasp), watched the videos and now I'm here to glean all of the stuff that isn't said in the manufacturer info. I do love my Beemer but the Fusion Energi appears to be a worthy replacement. My next project is a 220v charging station. I already have 50A GCFI circuit in the garage. I upgraded the main power panel several years ago to 200A. Watch out using a drier 220 circuit as they are typically 30A and the specs for the 220V charging station are 32A minimum. You risk overheating the wiring.
  5. That's in the woulda shoulda coulda category
  6. My understanding is that the EV button by the shifter puts the car in EV only (until the battery depletes). The button next to it is gas engine only
  7. I got mine in 3 weeks. Call your dealer. The green HOV stickers cost $8.00 and only the first 40,000 will get them. As of March, 10,000 have been issued.
  8. I too have arrived at my destination with the charging port door open. Did I forget to close it ??? Probably
  9. Only the first 40,000 applicants will get the green sticker. As of March, some 10,000 have been issued.
  10. The center display will show you the car operational status (like the Prius). The soft key is in the center of the touchscreen at the bottom in the middle.
  11. I have a Sterling Grey Titanium. Off the showroom floor.
  12. I have the same problem with mine. My driveway is on an incline and the trunk opens about 4" - very annoying. I mentioned it to the dealer and they recommended a clip from an auto parts store. I said for $44k they need to do better on the trunk. Gas cylinder balances would have been a more eloquent solution... The entire trunk system is a major design weak point IMO. It doesn't seem like they spent a lot of time validating the design.
  13. I bought mine 3 weeks ago and I am happy so far. I traded in a 2002 330ci BMW. A few weird glitches, like the rear window defroster and heater coming on spontaneously during a very warm day. I was able to control it however.
