I've owned a 2013 FFE for 8 days. Today, I took my longest round trip at 100 miles. On the trip back and after descending for a couple of miles, the battery icon during hybrid drive was completely full and the panel showed the engine on due to "acceleration and battery temp" for 8-10 miles. Eventually it went away and electric drive was used several times before getting home. How common is battery temp being an issue? As I said, I had descended for a few miles, using both coasting and brakes. The battery was full and the outside temp was 90. Was either or both the likely culprit?

Sync question.... every time it detects my phone, it immediately starts playing whatever podcast or whatever radio station was last stopped. Is there anyway to prevent this? Edit: found how to turn off auto play.

Ok, so where do I get the error code? This was my local dealership this morning that said it would not be replaced until I had an error code showing that the old one was not working. By the way, what is Sync good for? I registered online, but what's that get me? Does it work without a new modem or does the same issue exist?

Ok. I haven't gotten anything yet. I'll be watching. By the way, the car has the old modem, but for says I need an error code from the car before they'll replace.

Bought a used Energi. Downloaded the MyFordMobile app. Registered in my name and the Vin number of the car with no problem. When I open up the app, I can see the vehicle I have added but there is no data in vehicle management at all nor is there anything to push to retrieve data. The only button is to cancel confirmation. What am I doing wrong? Is there something I need to do in the actual car to make it transmit data? Do I have to register for sink for any of this to work?

What does the modem do? I'm sure CarMax will not want to get it switched out. Is this free if I take it to Ford? How do I verify that it has or hasn't been done? Time for a new 12V, as in I should go ahead and buy one? What type does it take?

A national used car dealer near me has a 2013 Fusion Energi SE for sale with under 30k miles. Any known pitfalls to this model? The price is very good and I've been thinking of buying a FFE for a couple of years. Other than having them fulling charging it before I test drive to make sure the battery is in good shape, what else should I look for?
