  1. Does anyone have experience or input on insulating the trunk and it's measurable affect on the battery? I live in a temperate zone (San Francisco Bay Area) and the car isn't exposed to extremes very often. However I was planning on insulating the trunk for noise and considering it's affect on the battery. It appears the car uses the trunks airspace to assist with temperature management. If the battery generates a lot of heat during charge or dissipation adding insulation could be bad, but if the primary issue is ambient temperature insulation could be helpful. I suspect if it made a big improvement Ford would have shipped them with it. Secondary benefit: Some insulation would keep things from falling off the top of the battery and down behind/next to the battery. It sounds like the previous owner dropped something and it seems to be rolling around back there! -Adam
  2. Just picked up a 2013 Energi Titanium and I noticed there's nothing to keep stuff from falling next to the sides of the battery if placed on top. Yes the 5 inches of space on top. Maybe my used car is missing something? Am I alone in seeking an answer for this? -Adam
