  1. I would think that they would take care of the issue for you since you just got the car. Hopefully they will. I'm wondering what it is that they think is broken since they quoted you the door and the housing. This post outlines the process to replace a 2014 charging port LED ring where he had to remove the door and the light ring. You might compare to yours to see how your looks. - http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/5510-charge-port-led-light-ring-replacement-procedure/ It sounds like they are saying that your car was vandalized but does it look like someone actually messed with it? Maybe you don't have the door any longer since it feel off while driving?
  2. I mentioned this idea in another thread but I just saw something that kind of works the way I was thinking. Use a long hose to take AC from the rear vents to the parcel shelf air intake for the battery https://www.amazon.com/Noggle-Backseat-Conditioning-Comfortable-Traveling/dp/B00LXT23RA/ref=sr_1_30_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1532061572&sr=8-30&keywords=ac%2Bpro%2Brecharge%2Bkit&th=1 Maybe get a longer one?
  3. The scoring bars will only show up if your trip used plug in power mode for a portion of your trip. This is talked about in this thread - http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/5443-2018-energi-right-summary-display-factors/?do=findComment&comment=31195
  4. I think you mean this: https://imgur.com/a/Ev9ut5U This one looks pretty good but if I run the AC it will go to the negative side. I haven't figured out if it goes more negative having the AC on vs. just the fan.
  5. On my drive home yesterday it was about 104 ambient temperature. I used Auto mode to get to the highway, then EV Later mode on the highway. Auto again when I got off the highway. I was watching the power usage through the powerflow app and I noticed as I got close to home, it was using the gas engine it said - due to battery temperature. I did have the AC on to try and give it some cooler air to circulate but I guess it wasn't enough. Maybe a small air duct from the rear AC vents to the intake on the parcel shelf would directly deliver more cool air? Wouldn't look very slick but might be good to try as an experiment. :)
  6. :) Good point. It may be best to just leave it out instead of putting it away. Some of the other pictures I've seen show a model that seems to have a cord wrap built-in so maybe they changed over the past few years.
  7. Interesting to note: even though I went through the back ON then OFF again dance to get the charge port light OFF, the next time I went to charge the light was ON. If I followed the process of turning it ON and then OFF again, it was OFF.
  8. This may be a silly question but hey I'll ask anyway. I took out the supplied charging cord in the trunk and charged my Energi last night to try it out and then I realized maybe I didn't pay enough attention to how the cord was wrapped in it's space in the trunk. I didn't see any special instructions anywhere on putting it away. So I just started with the car connector end and put it in the cutout and just followed the path for the cord wrap around the cutout in the trunk. I think it went ok but when I got done, I was concerned about the cord bends and leaving enough space to get the charge block flat in the cubby. Probably over thinking this but here is a picture: https://imgur.com/a/6XjKu2L Thanks
  9. Thought I was going crazy until I read this. I had the Charge port light set to OFF but it was still ON when charging. Followed this advice and turned it back ON and then OFF and it was finally OFF. Thanks
  10. Guess that could be part of it. High was 100 today in central CA.
  11. I have a 2018 loaner Energi that has 300 miles on it now. Even though I'm driving roughly the same way, the mileage thus far seems to be lower (36.5MPG) than the last 2018 Energi loaner I had which was also new. Admittedly, so far I've only plug-in charged once with the one I'm driving now. But the mileage isn't close to the 42.9 ish MPG for Hybrid driving so far. There are no customer installed updates that impact any of this are there? No updates to Sync would impact any fuel mileage parameters? Maybe it will get better it just seems like the average mileage as leveled off. Thanks
  12. Interesting though. I used up my plug in battery charge driving this morning and the right side display disappeared again on my next trip. I think the last loaner Energi I had (also a 2018) it would show up after every trip no matter what. Anyway, maybe it's a software version thing. I just got used to it being there. Seeing the leaves just doesn't do it for me. I always wonder what constituted "other" factors anyway. Thanks
  13. Maybe it was because the vehicle had never been plugged in? It was brand new. I plugged it in and charged last night and then energy usage effects started showing up. :) Took a picture too. It's not too impressive so far but maybe the averages haven't settled out yet. https://imgur.com/a/Ev9ut5U Thanks
  14. So I think I've found the answer to my question. The energy usage effects is what I was thinking of. In the owners manual: Next Full Charge The Next Full Charge display is shown upon shutting off your Energi vehicle whenever your vehicle operates in Plug-in Power Mode for a portion of your trip. Energy usage effects (+/-) A green bar indicates a positive effect on your EV range per full charge estimate. An amber bar indicates a negative effect. The bigger the bar the bigger the effect on your estimate. Looks like it won't show up unless I operate in plug-in power mode for a portion of the trip.
