  1. Just got the letter on my 2013 Fusion. Compliance Recall Notice 14c03 NHTSA Recall 14V164000 ID Number Search Results | Safercar | National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) http://mer.gy/14V164000
  2. Not sure what the beefs are. I have 12k in around 6 months on my Fusion Energi SE and most of the miles are on 280. I haven't notice any bouncing as I blow past Prius drivers.
  3. I have the 2013, but I am seeing more and more of the Fusion Hybrids and a few more Energis floating around. But, reviews like this could accelerate the uptick. Review: 2014 Ford Fusion Energi SE Plug-in Hybrid http://mer.gy/1Mc
  4. With the recent remarks from Ford, are people concerned this is a great way to collect data on us? http://www.businessinsider.com/ford-exec-gps-2014-1
  5. First Ford and had initial issues with the Energi due to connector not fully connected from the factory and it took some time to figure it out, but once we did - all good.
  6. Ford is ramping up the TV ads, but I am also seeing more and more Fusion Hybrids on the road and a few of them our Energis.
  7. It is pretty remarkable. I have over 5k miles now on mine. I bought it back in June. I've been very happy with it. Great freeway car.

  9. Speaking of bugs - The Android app doesn't keep username/password, but I rarely use it anyway.
  10. Boy, all I know is the few times I have talked with tow truck drivers on my battery issues over the last couple of months, all the drivers do not want to tow this. They are very scared to do it because of the complexity.
  11. Thanks. Yeah, I love the car. It has been a wonderful commute car but I'm eager to just use it now for a while. It's definitely the car for me on the Bay Area freeways.
  12. They didn't mention it as part of the battery issue. If there was some sort of short or something, I could see that as being part of the issue in presenting a mystery draw that would drain the 12v. All good so far after this.
  13. Got my Energi back after a week at the dealer. The wrench light kicked-up because the electronic coolant pump was burned out. After further investigation, the electronic coolant pump connector was melted and the pin was melted. They noted the connector pin was not inserted all the way inside the the harness connector possibly causing arcing and the damage. They had to splice in a new wiring pigtail and replace the electronic coolant pump and they also had to replace the blown 50 AMP fuse that probably blew with the arcing happening. So, I got that going on. The delay was really getting the parts and Labor Day weekend.
  14. Saw this on SFGate here in the Bay Area Ford Energi fuses gas and electric - SFGate http://mer.gy/1CT Any details on the changes they made from my model (2013) to the new model? Just wondering...
  15. Super-helpful! Thanks! I will pass this on to the "Service Manager" in charge of my account. Thanks everyone!
  16. Same experience here. The battery seemed to get better after they did the TSB around the DC convertor and I did a 240 charge at a local Chargepoint charger in the area.
  17. Just got word from the dealer - the wrench was on the water pump. I did put 3600 miles on it since mid-June, but weird that I lost a water pump so quickly no?
  18. The manual says it has something to do with the power train. Nice. I have about 3500 on the Energy now since mid-June. I'm taking it in to the Ford Dealer tomorrow.
  19. Thanks! I left EV Later alone all week and did not have an issue. Now, I also did do a 240v ChargePoint charge last Sunday. The Battery Save Mode did kick-up a couple of times this week. Perhaps, the BSM was not kicking-in overnight when it should have. The 12v battery has completely died 5 times on me requiring jumps.
  20. I have not had to jump this week. I did: 1. Charge with a 240v charger (Chargepoint) last Sunday (which probably helped the 12v get some juice.) 2. Disabled the charge ring light indicator to be on while charging. I set it to minimal on door opens, etc. 3. I have not used the EV later functionality at all. I have to wonder if these factors have played into the problems. Now that I think about it, the first month or so I had the Fusion Energi, I did NOT use the "EV Later" setting at all and was fine. It was after I started to use it, so I could save the battery power for use when I was around work later in the day and coming home, was when I really started to get a dead 12v battery in the morning. What is the logic on the "EV Later" if the car needs battery power during a long freeway drive, but isn't using the HV battery? Does it pull from the 12v?
  21. I geared this down. It is cool to see where the charge is at, but as I try to toubleshoot what was killing my 12v overnight, I geared this back to over be visible when I open doors, etc. It's fine.
  22. Wow, was ready to get out the jumper box this AM, but tried the key and the car woke-up with the "Battery Saver" screen. All okay. I have to wonder if the "Battery Saver" had not kicked-in previously. After the Chargepoint 240v charge on Sunday, I haven't needed to jump the car to get juice into the 12v.
  23. I haven't done anything and am dealing with this issue. No spills, no extra lights.
  24. I have noticed that the Wifi settings were on. I have disabled that. Perhaps that is run off the 12 volt and possibly causing the draw that eventually kills the battery? I dunno. Gotta try something at this point.
