“Other” killing EV mileage

Any ideas what might be killing my EV mileage? My dashboard says it’s “other,” which is greatly unhelpful. I have to try very hard to get 18.7 miles home from work, and can’t make it 18.7 miles there. Whether I take surface streets or go 60 or 65 on the highway, I run out of battery in the same area.

 

Outside temperature has been as low as 55, but is more consistently 70 F when I drive home.

This has been pondered here in the past, with no definitive answers unfortunately.

 

The only thing I can think of is that the car knows about its own HVB degradation, and counts that against you on the trip summary under "other".

 

Looking at your display, 19 miles on 3.8 kWh is actually pretty good EV range. However if it's a '13-'18, a new battery would have 5.6 kWh available for EV only driving - so degradation is in fact the only thing killing your range.
