_LisaRose_ Posted May 20, 2022 at 04:02 PM Report Share Posted May 20, 2022 at 04:02 PM Hello, My daughter bought a 2013 Fusion Hybrid in Dec 2021. The previous owner replaced the 12v battery sometime in 2019. Last week she was parking her car and when she put the car into reverse, the battery drained to 0%. She said she was unable to engage her breaks or turn the steering wheel. The battery powered up again shortly after back to 100% charge. I understand these batteries recharge as the brakes are engaged while driving and one thing I noticed is, the battery can be at close to 100% after driving the vehicle for a while, then the next morning, the charge decreases to nearly 50% overnight. This is the first time we've owned a hybrid, so this is all new to us. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
jsamp Posted May 21, 2022 at 03:54 AM Report Share Posted May 21, 2022 at 03:54 AM This is a forum for the Fusion Energi PHEV, though it is similar in many ways to the Hybrid. The forum you want is the Fordfusionhybridforum.com It sounds like the 12V battery has a loose/intermittent connection. I'd check and tighten the connections at the battery itself first.
