  1. Hello everyone! I have joined this forum in hope that I can have some light shed to the following mystery. Last week, I have purchased a used 2016 Ford Fusion Energi Hybrid SE with some extra luxury features thrown in. Overall, I love the car. On inspection of the vehicle, I noticed that in the left side of the instrument panel, in the Settings > Vehicle, I have a full set of "Remote Start" options, including windows, locks and climate settings. However, the keyfob which came with the car doesn't have a Remote Start button. After some research, I have noticed that the "Remote Start" options will not be exposed in the instrument panel's "Settings" menu unless the car has this option installed. At the same time, the features list for the vehicle shows "Less Remote Start" (or something like that). So my question is this: is this possible that this information is incorrect and that my car does have a "Remote Start" feature but the used car dealer somehow replaced the original keyfob with a cheaper one (perhaps because the original was broken or lost)? Howe can I for sure check if my car has this feature? Thank you in advance for all your help and time!
  2. I have two PHEVs--my 2013 C-Max Energi, and my wife's 2013 Fusion Energi. The C-Max connected right away to my My Ford Mobile account, with no issues on receiving the "on screen" confirmation messages in the vehicle. However, the Fusion is not receiving the confirmation messages; as a result, I can't manage the fusion through the smartphone application. Ford has been zero help in resolving this issue--two trips to the dealerships, phone support from the My Ford Mobile team, and Ford "engineers" who have been "researching" the issue for 2 months now, to no avail. Anyone have similar connectivity issues? Any resolution? Many thanks. Cosmo
  3. Today, while I was stopped a stop light, the radio suddenly stopped and the MyFord Touch screen went blank. A minute later the screen came back and displayed Sync Performing Scheduled Maintenance. I assume that sync crashed and was rebooting. I would hardly call a system crash scheduled maintenance--it is unscheduled maintenance. Also, I have noticed that Nav doesn't seem to work reliably. There multiple times when it refused to accept commands from the steering wheel controls and voice commands, but would accept them when entered from the MyFord Touch screen. When using voice commands, it would say that I am too close to my destination when the destination is 30 miles away. The POI (Points Of Interest) are also unreliable. I ask for a hardware store, it directs me to a shopping center that has no hardware store. I select another one close by, it has me drive around the block and I end up at the same place that I started when it says that I have arrived at my destination. Who provides the POIs? Sirius Travel Link? They should make sure that the entries are accurate so people don't end up driving around in circles looking for things that don't exist. Ford/Microsoft still have a lots of bugs to fix with Sync.
  4. Hello everyone! My name is Kim and I'm the new IVT representative that Ashley was talking about on her welcome post. If you haven't checked it out yet, click here: http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/1575-official-ford-service-rep/?p=9880 I'll be looking through the forum and posting where I can be helpful. I'm here to answer questions about SYNC, MyFord Touch, navigation, and SiriusXM. MyFord Mobile questions are included in this bunch, so feel free to direct those at me as well. I'm excited to become part of this community and get started. Don't be shy; ask away! :) Kim

  7. Here's your chance to develop the app you've always wanted and perhaps get paid, to boot. Ford has open-sourced the OpenXC platform for accessing vehicle data on a smartphone, tablet, web app or other mobile device. You can develop your own app and enter it in the Ford Personalized Fuel-Efficiency Ideas Challenge. See http://ford.challengepost.com/ for contest details. You can read more about the OpenXC platform at http://openxcplatform.com and download the software from the Github at https://github.com/openxc Looks like a fun summer activity. Of course, I need to have my Energi delivered before I can start hacking the software.
  8. I'm trying to put my finger on how all this data transfer works and what it all costs. From what I've read the Energi has Wifi, okay that one's easy. I've also read it has 3G or some kind of cellular data connection. Can't imagine a cellular data connection without fees. Can anyone elaborate on this? Then theres Sync, I don't know much about it or if I need it but I'm sure it comes with a cost. Finally theres Sirius services. I'm familiar with their sat radio, if you like it you pay for it, if not you don't. But the Energi has a few extra Sirius services (NavTraffic, NavWeather, SiriusXM Travel Link) that I can't find much detail on. Can someone enlighten me on how all this works and what it's going to cost in the real world. Thanks in advance!
  9. Has anybody else had success/failure with the Sync Destinations app? I installed it on my Android phone and it worked great the first time. Via Bluetooth, it told me routes and alternates to my destination with approximate times. It reported an accident that the Sirius Traffic system didn't. The next two times I tried it, it failed to connect properly, then locked my home screen. I pulled over (into a parking lot) and restarted the car to get it going again, and the first thing it said was, "Performing system maintenance." Today it shut the audio off completely. No voice commands, no music-Sirius or otherwise. I ended up turning my phone on and off a few times and deleted the app. I had to rediscover my phone. BTW, it discovered a phone in another commuter's car stuck in traffic near me. "Hey" to Cassia, if you're out there. I'm wondering if it is worth it. Perhaps my phone software is just too old? The idea is NOT to be pushing buttons while driving.
  10. I don't know if the Fusion Energi will get the SYNC as standard equipment, but if not, it's a must have option. We have the SYNC of our Fiesta and I absolutely love it! If your not familiar with the SYNC, get a demo and you'll see why it's an excellent option for the price.
