Caveat: My 2017 CPO was missing the EVSE when I bought it.  The salesman found it or a replacement, so am not sure it's one delivered with a 2017.

Top of wall plug to end of black plastic power monitor: 22"

Cord from bottom of black power monitor to beginning of car plug: 22' 6"

Plug that goes into car: 10"

+/- measurement error (I didn't include the length of the cord that is showing but covered by the black plastic power monitor, about 1.5", because that length is already accounted for in the 22").

While maybe a nominal 25' (not sure how manufacturers figure advertised lengths), you've got to figure the lost lengths down from the wall socket to the cord lying on the ground, then back up to the car, and the bend of the plug from vertical from the ground to horizontal, and any other bends your location might require.

The owner's manual warns against using an extension cord with the 120V charger cord.  Although I know my salesman told me he uses one every night.  Having had a small fire once by using an extension cord with a small garage heater, I would never use an extension cord in the process of charging my vehicle.

There is nothing wrong with the correct extension cord.

The problem is that the extension cords most people have laying around are built with 16 gauge wire.  That is not appropriate for much of anything.

A 15 amp circuit requires a minimum of 14 gauge wire.  I use a 50 foot extension cord that has 10 gauge wire.
